WITNESSED IN MILWAUKEE
A little girl, handholding
Two possible mothers, sometimes lifted
By them off the street, shouting,
Louder and louder, “Black Lives Matter!”
Joyous, the way it ought to be shouted.
And a guy turning around, smiling,
Showing her his makeshift sign,
That reads, “You Matter!”
